Formula 16 catamarans race across the water in a ballet of speed and precision. Close starts, duels skimming the water's surface, pure thrills... In Sanguinet, regattas will be synonymous with adrenaline and spectacle.

F16 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2026

Last year, the F16 World Championships in Medemblik took place under mainly cloudy skies and in cool conditions. The teams competed in 12 exciting races spread over four days on Dutch waters. For the most part, weather conditions were challenging, with strong winds (18 to 22 knots), changes in direction and irregular gusts. Almost all races required a course change on the second lap.

This year, northern Landes in France is hosting this event for the first time. The regatta will take place at the end of July, a period well known for its thermal winds, which pick up in the middle of the day and can offer perfect conditions (12–16 knots).
